Default Tips for a new guild leader?

I recently started a new guild The Endoplasmic Reticulums as a casual gvg guild. Anybody have any tips for as a leader like recruiting or finding a good alliance?

Here are some links to recent posts in this forum on the same subject. It is not easy to maintain a guild.

PvP guilds tend to take alot more responsiblity than PvE guilds. My suggestions to you would be find a solid core group that lives relatively in the same time zone as yourself. Also having a few dedicated officers for your cause helps greatly. GL and HF.

You should also make a wiki page for the heck of it, most guilds do.

Very true, but you could always kick the drama queens, Alas that will keep your guild very small. In my guild, being a drama queen is the fastest way to get kicked.

to be a good guild leader, you will need to know a fair bit bout the game, it also helps to rent a vent server, make a forum/website and have some freinds or dedicated officers to help you recruit members, most players dont join guilds unless they have many npcs in the gh

As for a website/forum, a guru member will make one for you if you have a host that meets the requirements.

My site is one of his examples in the thread and my guild is pleased with it. Although even that takes constant nagging to get members to sign up.

As for finding a good Alliance, work out what your Guild is aiming for and look around for other guilds looking for the same. Talk things over with the Alliance leader and maybe some of the other Guild Leaders in the alliance. Don't just jump on the first Alliance you find that will take you, it will almost certainly end in disaster. One of the biggest skills you can have as a Guild Leader (of any type) is networking. Talk to people, friends, randoms, you never know what will come out of it.

1. Recruit, recruit, recruit.
2. Voice communication helps out a bunch. Look into getting a Vent or a TeamSpeak server.
3. Recruit some more.
4. Set up a web site for your Guild. Include a mission statement, the different ranks, the requirements, etc. Also, having a forum for your members will be of great help.
5. Recruit until your fingers get bloody.
6. Whenever you're not recruiting, organize events for your guild members. IE. We're going to clear The Deep tonight! Does anyone have a mission that has to be completed in Hard Mode? Would anyone like to star in a dance video for YouTube?
7. I think I've made it clear, but do some more recruiting

Most of what Veripare says is true, though vent helps builds a strong core group, though when you recruit be prepared to kick around 95% of the recruits or see the majority leave, about one in every 20 or so will become a dedicated member to your guild.
